The complete history of the exhibited Bücker Bü 181 is not known. It is nearly certain that it flew with the Luftwaffe. In 1959 it was registered as D-ECYV. Before that it was flown in Saarland with the registration SL-AAS. The last owner was Hans Dittes, who made his final flight with the plane on August 24, 1997.
