VH-AIS had a long career on the Australian register starting in 1961. It initially flew in support of the mining industry - Yampi in the aircraft name refers to the rich mining area Yampi Sound. In the 1970s it was bought by Aerial Agriculture at Bankstown for freighting and aerial survey. VH-AIS was withdrawn from use in 1979. It was restored to the register in 1986 and while still registered in 2017, it had not flown for many years.
