Some hour drive from Kabul, a real massive scrapyard of the Afghan Army was found. Only a few sandy paths were cleared from land mines, so I couldn't reach this wreckage for further inspection. Therefore identification is not confirmed, but it is almost certain that these are the remains of Afghan AF An-32A serial 306. Some of the debris seen here may of course belong to other aircraft. What a mess... This photo is copyright © Stephan de Bruijn, and may not be used or published in any way without permission. It was added on 22 January 2021, and has since been viewed 513 times. |
