Built in April 1959 as a VC-137A-BN (only one of 3), delivered to the USAF in May 1959 as 58-6971. Transferred to 1298th Air Transport (Special Missions) Squadron, Andrews AFB, MD. Deployed to Washington, DC. Transferred to 1254th Air Transport (Special Missions) Wing, Andrews AFB in June 1961. Converted to a VC-137B-BN in April 1963.
