N1026C had been sold to the Indonesian air force when it arrived at Bankstown. But before it was delivered it was entered in the London-Sydney air race, arriving back at Bankstown on January 4, 1970. On that date its US registration was cancelled as sold in Indonesia but it was still in Australia as late as August that year wearing its US registration. N1026C did get to Indonesia eventually and became PK-JBF. This photo is copyright © David Carter, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
