Tough to see, but this is KAC seen from the small control tower of Kunduz in its Ariana white/blue colours. The aircraft could not be approach at the moment of my visit due to the risk of stepping on a land mine. The YAK was dumped just behind a Short-Range Air Defence (SHORAD) hill, once prepped by the Russians. The inside of the Yak was long time used as a shelter for personnel of the air defense system during the tough weather conditions in Northern Afghanistan.
