This early F-4D (old nose!) was operated by 417th TFS / 50th TFW. Although belonging to the 50th TFW at Hahn AB, the 417th actually was based at Ramstein. In July 1968 the unit was reassigned to the 67th TRW at Mountain Home AFB, taking this F-4D back to the US. There it crashed on 10 December 1970. This photo was added on 20 October 2020, and has since been viewed 501 times. |
