Manufactured by ARGE-USA in 1961, flight test release 29 January 1962. Airlifted to Germany on 28 March1962. Messerschmitt test flight took place on 07 May1962. Delivered to JaboG 31 at Norvenich AB on 16 May 1962. A/c has had an emergency landing at Norvenich AB on 02 June 1965 after collision with DO-28 D-IBEW. Withdrawn from use and stored LwSchleuse 11 on 03 September 1976. Used as an instructional airframe for JaboG 32 on 24 January1980. Preserved at the Villingen-Schwenningen - Luftfahrtmuseum International Manfred Pflumm since 10/1989.
