N30TN the sole surviving civilian Super DC-3, with all others being former US Navy C-117D/R4D-8's. Wearing Douglas company colors, her wings had been removed for a mandatory inspection before the start of another season carrying passengers to the Alaskan outback. This photo is copyright © Ralph M.
