After it's retirement in 1981 the aircraft was used at Hopsten for BDRT. Thereafter it served as gate guard at that base. The aircraft carries the registration of the assumed first Hopsten based Starfighter. When the base was closed in 2005 it was moved to neighbouring Rheine Bentlage.
