Formerly VH-RVT with the Royal Victorian Aero Club, VH-RJK had some of the modifications that would be incorporated into the Aerostructures Sundowner VH-CXZ. These included the metal-skinned wing, fin fillet and Lycoming O-360 engine. Unlike the Sundowner, VH-RJK received approval and later found work in Western Australia as a glider tug. While it remained registered in 2017, -RJK's state of airworthiness was not known.
