Lufthansa named many of its aircraft after German WWI aces, including Olivier von Beaulieu-Marconnay. Built in 1934, D-AMIT went to Lufthansa Peru in 1938 and was confiscated by the Peruvian government in 1941. The two DC-3s were delivered in the summer of 1937. KLM's PH-ALP Pelikaan ended up with KNILM in the East Indies as PK-AFV and was shot down by Zeros near Broome on 3 March 1942.
