Built as a HSS-1N, to US Navy 149841, to Netherlands Navy 136 taken on charge Mar-1962, renamed as SH-34J Sep-1962 but here at this 1963 photo still carrying HSS-1N on the fin, ditched into the North Sea near Noordwijk due to engine problems 17-Aug-1965. Due to salt water damage it was not repaired. It carries here the code D for the aircraft carrier Karel Doorman, and the badge of 8 Sqn behind the cockpit.
