From 1967 to the mid-1970s this C-7 operated out of Cam Ranh Bay AB, South Vietnam with the 483TCW/TAW/TFW, typically into unprepared airstrips along the borders of Laos and Cambodia in support of Special Forces. From 1977 assigned to the 357TAS (AL ANG) at Maxwell AFB, and transferred to the US Army there in 1987 for their Golden Knights Parachute Team. Retired to Dover in 1992, but was incorrect painted as "AF39-760" instead of "AF63-760". This photo is copyright © Richard Vandervord, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
