WB518 stored in Griffith in a trucking yard ahead of being mounted on a pole in the main street. It was taken down from the pole in 1991 and forward fuselage and centre section used to repair VH-HMW/WD828 which had crashed. The damaged parts from -HMW were patched and fitted to the rest of WB518, which was then returned to the pole. Repairs on -HMW were done in the US and it became N518WB.
