This F-16 must have had the shortest life of its type in the Belgian air force. Delivered 2 April 1984, it crashed exactly 4 months later after a mid-air collision with a French Jaguar. The pilot survived, unfortunately the French pilot was killed. Here in the colours of 23 smaldeel (=squadron). Only F-104G FX-08 had an even shorter life in the Belgian air force, spanning only two weeks. This photo is copyright © Fred Willemsen, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
