Airspray bought this aircraft and converted it to an air tanker in June 1995 as they brought Electras into the fleet. First flight was on June 12, 1958 for General Motors, the Electra's engine manufacturer. Sold November 1961 to the LA Dodgers for team transport, it was traded to American Airlines in 1970 as part payment for a Boeing 720B replacement.
