Constructed and delivered to 501 squadron in 1940, V7497 was shot down by a Messerschmitt Bf109 over Kent on 28th September that year. The wreck was recovered and later restored by Hawker Restorations Limited of Sudbury, Suffolk. Returned to airworthy status on 30 August 2018.
