Columbia Air was to be a Baltimore - Washington based start up and ordered two DC-9s from Air Canada. They were unable to get financing together and the order was not taken up. Only one DC-9 had the full Columbia colors and the new US registration. This DC-9, formerly CF-TLP, went on to fly with Altair, PSA and US Air.
