Developed from the Hs 128 high-altitude research aircraft, the Hs 130 was a reconnaissance plane which never saw operational service. This is the fourth Hs 130E-0. The E had a DB 605 engine and a large supercharger in the fuselage feeding air to two wing-mounted DB 603s. The 1995 Grob G-850 Strato 2C used a similar propulsion system for high-altitude flight.
