Massive public attention for the first Soviet jet to land at Schiphol. Unfortunately for the spectators, Captain Pyotr Soldatev did not need to deploy his three brake chutes. CCCP-L5442 crashed barely a month later in the Russian Far East and all 64 people on board lost their lives.
