VH-EZZ was painted when it was realised it was a barred registration. At the time several hundred registrations could not be used over concerns they might be cause confusion in an era when Morse Code was still used. Almost all these registrations have now been freed for use, including VH-EZZ. The first "VH-EZZ" became VH-EZU instead.
