Shenzhen Airlines was started in 1992 by the city of Shenzhen with the help of Air China. This is the second 737-300 ordered by the airline from Boeing and was delivered July 27, 1994. Withdrawn in 2011 as the airline acquired newer aircraft, the 737 went to Africa as ZS-VDP. First with LCC Velvet Sky, then to Star Air in 2012 as the LCC ceased flying.
