The Kfir was an Israeli development of the Mirage 5, featuring canards and the American J79 engine. In the 1980s some early Kfirs were leased by the US Navy as F-21 aggressor aircraft. Today, ATAC from Newport News flies a couple of Kfirs in a similar capacity. This photo is copyright © Peter de Jong, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
