Although in full USAF markings, this aircraft belongs to the Taiwanese AF. Operated by the 21st FS 'Gamblers' it is used for pilot training. Please note also the housing for the brake chute above the engine, USAF F-16s are not fitted with a brake chute.

This Republic of China Air Force (Taiwan Air Force) F-16A is disguised as a US Air Force F-16A. The aircraft is assigned to the 21st Fighter Squadron 'The Gamblers' at Luke AFB (AZ) as part of the 56th Fighter Wing and is used for training of RoCAF pilots since August 1996. The squadrons outfit was correspond with the 21st Squadron, 455th Wing in Chiayi Air Base (Taiwan), which was the first RoCAF unit equipped with F-16A/B. This 703 (RoCAF 6602) returned to Taiwan on 13 May 2021. It will be converted to F-16V.

An intruder in the Luke training camp! This F-16A is marked as the 'Boss Bird' of the 21 FS 'Gamblers', 56th FW, however, despite the U.S. markings the aircraft belongs to the Taiwanese Air Force, which uses it for flight training here at Luke AFB. Please note also the housing for the brake chute above the engine, U.S. versions don't have a brake chute.

Disguised as an USAF F-16C, this Republic of China Air Force (RoCAF, Taiwan Air Force) F-16A is based at Luke AFB (AZ) for pilot training. The 21st Fighter squadron, nicknamed Gamblers, operates twelve F-16A/Bs and this 708 is allocated 6607 in RoCAF service. The squadron will move to Tucson in 2021 to create additional room for F-35 operations at Luke.
