With the 65th anniversary of the Koninklijke Luchtmacht in 1978, the first "Double Dutch" demo-team was formed by 316 squadron. (disbanded again in 1979). It consisted of two NF-5A's: K-3031 (flown by Capt. Pieter Smith) and K-3048, flown by Elt. Frits Leeuwenburgh.
