Caproni Ca.313 505 was abandoned on Lake Vangsmjøsa during the German invasion of Norway in April 1940. The wreckage was recovered and moved to Flyhistorisk Museum Sola in 1999. It has been under long-term restoration since and this nose section was started on in 2019. The basis of the restoration is the original nose section with many original parts including the left steering column. The restoration of 505 was completed in April 2025.

Four Caproni Ca310s were delivered to the Norwegian Army Air Service, further deliveries were halted when WW 2 broke out. The Norwegian aircraft were acquired as part of a dried and salted cod (klippfisk) barter deal between Norway and Italy. One of the aircraft survives and is extensively renovated here at the Flyhistorisk Museum in Sola.
