Preserved on base, this nice LASUR is a former Voyenno-vozdushnyye sily (VVS, Soviet Air Force) MiG-21 (bort number 84). The MiG was delivered to Bulgaria in 1990 and modified to LASUR (equipped with a navigation and landing system and a semi-automatic guidance system for intercepts). 502 was stored at homebase Graf Ignatievo from September 2001. It was seen in a hangar in 2005, possibly cannibalized and prepared for preservation as is was reportedly preserved on this pole in front of the base headquarter from late 2008.
