Oops. There should have been a small airshow at Mar del Plata over the18-19 January 1997 weekend but as you maybe can see, a thunderstorm prevented that from happening. It took this Skyhawk from its pedestal, and nearly our aircraft from the runway, the previous night... Spuriously marked '3-A-314', it should really be 3-A-408, it is now preserved just SW of Mar del Plata at Batan aeroclub as '0667/3-A-314'.

Former US Navy 144988 (USS Bauer). Delivered to Argentinean Navy on February 1972 as 0661/3-A-208. It was transferred to the 3 Aeronaval Attack Squadron as 0661/3-A-308. It was retired from use in late 1985 and preserved at the Batán / Mar del Plata Aeroclub on June 1986. It carries the fictional registration 3-A-314. The real 3-A-314 was written off in combat on May 21, 1982.
