A nice monument was erected to commemorate the Ecuadorian Air Force's 23rd combat wing in which the "Tiburones" or "Sharks" (T-33s) were based. One of the T-33s was used for this. Unfortunately, this monument was destroyed after the Manabí earthquake, April 16, 2016.
