When the 194th Fighter Interceptor Squadron of the California Air National Guard at Fresno was in transition from F-4D to F-16A/B, four F-4Ds of the 179th Fighter Interceptor Squadron of the Minnesota ANG were deployed to Fresno, to temporary relieve the new Falcon squadron with the Quick Reaction Alert (QRA) task.
