Orly has a history as a general aviation airfield and airship port, with two huge dirigible hangars completed in 1923. As you can see, aviators could replenish here on Castrol, Yacco or Mobiloil. The Dorand AR.1 was a World War I reconnaissance type which had a long civilian afterlife. F-CAFE and F-CAFV were registered to the Compagnie Aérienne Française. The August 1931 photo date is probably reliable. F-CAFE is listed as cancelled in 1925, but this must be in error since the Morane-Saulnier MS.137, F-AIJP, was not built until 1927.
