Aircraft crashed only few days after this picture was taken. On the evening of 16 October 2018 this Sukhoi Su-27 fighter crashed in the vicinity of Ulaniv in Khmilnyk Raion, Vinnytsia Oblast, while performing a training exercise during Exercise Clear Sky 2018, killing both crew. On board the aircraft was Polkovnyk Ivan Nikolaevich Petrenko of the 831st TAB, as well as Lt. Col. Seth "Jethro" Nehring of the 114th FW, CA ANG. Nehring was an experienced F-15 and F-16 pilot.
