Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Air Force Y-12-II on the runway at Kish. The Shiraz/Shahid Dastghaib Intl based aircraft was used for para drops during the Iran air show.

Little is known about the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps Air Force (IRGC) Harbin Y12 fleet. Twelve aircraft are believed to be delivered, of which five are standard Y12s and seven are Y12-IIs. In IRGCAF service, the fleet is assigned to the "Support Squadron" with detachments all over Iran, but the main operating base is Shiraz/Shahid Dastghaib International Airport. This 2245 served at Kish as transport aircraft for a para jump display.

About to depart from runway 13 this Chinese built Harbin Y12 was ferrying from China on delivery to a South American country.

One of nine of this Chinese workhorse delivered to Sri Lanka in 1986, of which two were lost in 1997 during their service with 8 Sqn, which has also made them available to Helitours. Four more were on order. Soon after this, re-serialling in the SCL-32** range was carried out

This exotic machine was one of a pair of Y12s seen at Pokhara, performing services to Jomson in Nepal's Mustang kingdom, at 8,800ft known as one of the most dangerous airports in the world and therefore a flight-sim favourite. First served Aero Bengal as S2-AAR from 1998, moving to Nepal in 05.07 but since became B-3842 with China Flying Dragon Aviation. Has "Made in China" embossed proudly across the control yoke!
