August/53: 3510th Flying Training Wing, Randolph AFB, TX. November/53: Converted to TB-29A. October/56: TOS USN; to Naval Weapons Center, China Lake, CA; used as a range target. March/71: Confederate Air Force with c/n N4249. Restored to ferry. August/71: Ferried to Harlingen, TX. By 1978: Restored using parts from three other B-29s. August/81: Re-registered as N529B. 1983: Used in the movie, "The Right Stuff" as the mother ship. 2006-2010: Full overhaul and new engines.

The Helicopter Association International (HAI) is a not-for-profit professional trade association that represents all aspects of the Vertical Take-off & Landing (VTOL) industry. Each year HAI arranges the helicopter exhibition Heli-Expo held in the southern USA and attended by manufactures and operators from around the world. At the time of the photo this helicopter was registered to MFS LLC (since 13 September 2018).

Off the production line as 41-35927, P-40E was destined for the Royal Air Force as Kittyhawk IA (ET564) but eventually transferred to Soviet Union with code 1025. Lost during WWII, the aircraft was recovered near Murmansk in 1992 and restored to flying condition (first in the USA using parts from Canada and finally finished in New Zealand, flying again in 2001. It was the first aircraft for the Military Aviation Museum and wears the markings of American Volunteer Group (AVG) P-40E 41-5658.
