Leased from CCA - Central Connect Airlines.

Delivered July 2001 to Lufttransport-Unternehmen as D-ALTE, before being transferred to LTU's Austrian subsidiary in April 2004. After four years registered as OE-LTU, it returned to the German register as D-ALTE in April 2008, flying with Air Berlin. It was withdrawn from use by Air Berlin in January 2013, but within a few months was flying again in Austria, but this time with Austrian Airlines as OE-LBM.

Back in 2008, the A321 was a fairly rare substitution for the usual A319s and A320s operated by Iberia on the MAD-TXL sector. This A321 was one of several Iberia aircraft to be named after endangered birds endemic to Spain. EC-JZM was named for the Spanish Imperial Eagle, one of the rarest raptors in Europe.

Rare photo of this Air Berlin Fokker departing TXL for the last time, with Australian registration already added, destined for a future with Network Aviation in Oz. Formerly registered D-AGPJ, it flew in the colors of Germania and dba before being taking on the identity of Air Berlin.
