RAAF Point Cook on the weekend of the 1976 air show. Centre is the Forrestair display: DC-3, Mu-2, two Partenavias and a Turbo Porter used in Antarctica. The cluster of CAC Winjeels between the hangars had not long been replaced by CT/4 Airtrainers and the Sabre and Meteor are from the resident RAAF Museum. Point Cook was where military aviation began in Australia in 1912. This photo was added on 25 October 2018, and has since been viewed 247 times. |
