Leading the flightline, FMS serial 62-5936 was taken on charge by the Força Aerea Portuguesa in 1963. It was assigned to Esquadra 102 "Panchos", an elementary flight training squadron which was disbanded on 8 August 1992, marking the end of the T-37C in FAP service. It was first stored at Alverca then moved as 02411 for preservation on a pole with the Depósito Geral de Material da Força Aérea (DGMFA) at the base.
