The PIK-5 is a Finnish single-seat wooden glider, developed from the Polish WWS.1 Salamandra. The prototype first flew in September 1946. A total of 34 PIK-5s were built, and this type of glider was the most popular glider in Finland during the 1950s. The OH-PAR airframe on display at the Museum was used by the FK Cumulus aeroclub in Helsinki from 1950 to 1977.
