French Air Force Mirage 2000D 652 with code 3-XN operated by EC 3 from Nancy-Ochey, is seen here at the Meeting de l'Air 2017 at Bordeaux-Merignac in colours reminiscent of French operations in the Sahara desert. Dassault developed the Mirage 2000D, which is designed for long-range precision strikes with conventional weapons. This aircraft introduced support for conventional attack missiles such as the Apache and Scalp missiles, as well as the AASM weapons. The first aircraft flew on 19 February 1991, and the French Air Force ordered a total of 86 of these aircraft.
