TLG 73 is known as the Steinhoff Geschwader, named after Johannes "Macky" Steinhoff (15 September 1913 - 21 February 1994), a Luftwaffe fighter ace during World War II, German general, and NATO official. The EF-2000s of this unit carry the blue-yellow crest on the tail. Serial 3062 is seen here in take-off from Leeuwarden.
