Two Interstate S-1A (better known as L-6 Grashopper with the US military) served with the Flyvåpnenes Treningsleir (FTL) better known as Little Norway, a Norwegian military flight training school in Canada during WW II. The two Interstate aircraft were a private gift from Thor Solberg and used for communication flights between Toronto, Muskoka and Vesle Skaugum. Serial 503 crashed after WW II, but serial 505 has been saved for future generations! This photo is copyright © Wim Sonneveld, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
