How dirty can it be? Check the streaks and surface wear of this bird. It looks like corrosion or rust on the wings, but it most likely is that the outer coating of the fighter shows signs of wear due to prolonged exposure to harsh weather. The combination of intense sunlight, sand, and possibly saltwater vapor in certain deployment areas can accelerate the degradation of surface layers. The CM was first flown in May'90 and delivered to the USAF on 23 May'90. Earmarked for assignment for the then to be activated 24th TASS it still carried the markings of the 4th Fighter Squadron.
