Minus its port engine at Shannon. This was an ex-Spanish Air Force SAR aircraft (AD.1B-11) which had lain in storage at Palma de Mallorca for some years. It made an emergency landing at Shannon on 12 August 1982 with an engine shut down and spent more than three years there before leaving for Plymouth as G-BMDX on 2 February 1986. It was cancelled from the UK Register in June 1986 and exported to the USA as N2ML, later N23ML and finally N3JY. Reportedly damaged beyond repair when it crashed into the sea off Grand Turk, Turks and Caicos Islands circa 1987.
