The name "Léon Biancotto" and the checkered rudder worn by this aircraft pay a tribute to one of the greatest French aerobatics pilots. Three times aerobatics world champion (in 1955, 1956 and 1958), Léon Biancotto unfortunately killed himself on the 29 August 1960, while flying Nord 3202 c/n16 (F-BFHA, on loan from Nord Aviation), during one of the final heat flights for the Aerobatics World Championships in Bratislava.
