Delivered from 1981, Chile operated fourteen T-36 Halcons in the training role with Grupo 1 from Los Condores Air Base in Iquique. The type was withdrawn by 2010 but the combat version, the A-36, twenty three of which were delivered from 1986, continued in service until 2022, most having been upgraded to Halcon 11 or Toqui standard from 1997. 417 is displayed with the Museo Nacional Aeronáutico y del Espacio at Los Cerrillos at time of upload.
