This aircraft has a rather interesting history: originally manufactured in 1943 by Messerchmitt as a genuine Me-108, it was reprtedly shot down twice during WW2! Then it was re-built in March 1945 by the SNCAN as a Nord 1002, with the c/n 103. It flew in Belgium until 1968, then was exported to the US were it was re-engined with a 300hp Lycoming 300 cv. It was later exported in South Africa in 1989, then in New Zealand in 1996. A true globe-trotter! This photo is copyright © SAN, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
