FAA data gives an activation date of March 1998 for this heliport, but aerial imagery depicts this hospital's previous helipad, in the parking lot slightly to the southwest of this one, as early as 1994. This pad is first noted in Google Earth imagery from 2005, appearing to be added during some expansion work on the facility.
