Several redundant military transports are seen here in one of the dealers' yards adjacent to Davis-Monthan. 54-2811 never left and was presumably broken up; the ex-US Navy aircraft beyond, 141026, was sold to Kelowna Flightcraft as C-FNLZ and converted to a stretched Convair CV-5800 in Aug 2000. It remains active as of 2024 with IFL Cargo, as N371FL. This photo is copyright © Fergal Goodman, and may not be used or published in any way without permission.
