The S.34 trainer was used by the French air force from the early 1920s until 1936. Its side-by-side seating was then unusual. This example was owned by French ace Charles Nungesser who is seen with his girlfriend. The S.34bis was intended for the French navy and had a more powerful Clêrget rotary engine.
